First YouTube Creators Lab Program Launched by Banijay France

Banijay France and YouTube have teamed up to launch the first-ever YouTube Creators Lab. The program will be a significant boost to French creators, offering professional production support. Further, creators can expect funding and direct guidance from YouTube. Banijay France’s entertainment expertise, combined with YouTube’s global appeal, will help digital talents grow a mainstream audience. Here’s what we know so far:

Banijay France and YouTube Collaborate on the Creators Lab

The first collaboration is set to bring digital talent closer to professional entertainment production. While YouTubers are used to working independently, the initiative will give them access to industry tools.

Selected creators will receive up to €50,000 in funding for pilot projects. Since the program is currently based in France, creators will be able to work closely with Banijay Entertainment.

Beyond France, the initiative signals a shift that benefits creators worldwide. Studios are investing in digital talent to ensure the next generation of innovators carries their stories forward. Since platforms like YouTube have built massive global creator communities, industry experts believe productions see significant value in the growing online platform.

Key Highlights of First Cohort

Initially, when Banijay France teased the YouTube collaboration in June, it attracted hundreds of applications. Upon careful review, the entertainment group selects the four best creators for their unique voices and strong connection to digital audiences. Each creator has been paired with a popular Banijay Format, giving them a better chance to establish their entertainment concepts:

  • Valise & Caramel will offer their unique spin on Minute to Win It with Banijay Production Media
  • SparkDise takes on 1ère Compagnie in a personality-driven approach with Endemol France
  • Louise Aubery (MyBetterSelf) will reimagine Got to Dance for its storytelling and performance with DMLS TV
  • Noa Dorian revisits Dilemme, adapting the reality-style with B Prod

Conclusion

The launch of the YouTube Creators Lab marks a meaningful step in how the entertainment industry engages with digital talent, providing access to funding, professional production support, and internationally recognized formats. Creators will primarily benefit from building global YouTube communities. As the first cohort begins their pilot projects, it signals new possibilities for creators looking to grow beyond traditional content boundaries.
