YouTube’s New Member Only Livestream, Media Kits & Shorts AI Features.

In the latest YouTube update, we are seeing new features such as Public-to-Member-only Live stream, Media Kit Expansion, and Shorts Remix using Extend with AI.

Now, creators can switch from public to members-only livestreams. Instead of ending the stream and starting a new one, creators can switch the current live stream to a members-only setting. Non-members can pay and become part of it as well.

In the Media Kit, creators will have the option to download sample videos, channel performance data, and audience demographics. Utilize YouTube Shorts remix using the Extend with AI feature. The feature lets you create an alternative ending for your Short. The ending will be based on the prompt generated using the added Short.

Media Kit Expansion

The Media Kit is a part of the YouTube BrandConnect tab, which can be found in the Earn section. BrandConnect helps connect YouTubers and Brands. The brand can view the performing videos, audience watch, Shopping interest, etc. Which allows them to make decisions for brand collaborations.

In the new update, creators can download the media kit as a PDF. They can use it as a professional document for brand deals. They get sample videos, channel performance, and audience data, which is not available in Studio Analytics.

The Media Kit is available to creators if they are part of the YouTube Partner Program. To download, go to the Earn Page in Studio and click on “Download your Media Kit”. The download is possible only on a desktop.

Extend With AI

Creators can remix the Short by adding a new ending to the Short using the Extend with AI feature. The AI will provide creative suggestions (prompts) for the uploaded Short. Select the prompt, and the ending will be remixed.

YouTube AI will analyse the Short and suggest a prompt you can select, ending from the options, or keep it original using the Cut feature.
