YouTube first tested the Hype feature in early July and has now made it available for small creators. We don’t know if you can see the feature yourself, so let us tell you how it works.

The hype feature is for all emerging channels and is only available for creators who fit the eligible criteria. Yes! Not all small creators can use the YT hype feature.

According to YouTube, if a video was released within the past seven days and is from a creator with fewer than 500,000 subscribers, you can “hype” it, doing more than liking and sharing.

When you hype your video, YouTube enables your viewers to give it hype points. The more hype it generates, the higher it rises on a weekly leaderboard featuring the top 100 most hyped videos.

Creators can use the feature to highlight the videos they think deserve and should reach a wider audience and make money on YouTube.

YouTube allocates users some hype every day to use to hype the video they want. But again, users must purchase the hype when they want to exceed the number of hype they are giving away.

Matt Navarra, the founder of the Geek Out newsletter, also tweeted about the new update regarding the description field in YouTube Studio. The new update will help you engage your viewers with your videos. In the meantime, we suggest you use an AI YouTube description generator tool to create a video description hook for your audience.

YouTube is currently testing it out with Brazilian creators and plans to expand in the first days of January of the new year. Until then, YouTube will gather feedback and constructive criticism to improve the delivery of the YouTube hype feature.

Conclusion

The first stage of the YouTube hype feature was introduced for small creators with emerging channels. Now that you know everything about the feature, you will understand that it is nothing but yet another way to promote video on YouTube amongst your target audience.

The more hype you generate on your videos, the more YouTube will prioritize them, helping you buy YouTube views organically. Along with hype, YT is testing a redesigned Member Hub to encourage channel subscriptions.
