  • 1000 subscribers plus 4000 valid watch hours in the past 12 months.

And either

  • 1000 subscribers plus 10 million valid public watch hours in the past 90 days.

Additional requirements:

  • Any original short video uploaded on YouTube in the last 180 days/ 6 months.
  • The YouTube short videos have to follow all the YouTube Community Guidelines, Copyright Rules, and monetization policies.
  • Nonoriginal content, such as videos re-uploaded from other channels, is not eligible.
  • Short videos uploaded with logos or watermarks from third-party social apps like TikTok and Instagram are also not eligible for the payouts.
  • Your country should be eligible for the YouTube monetization fund.
  • The creator must have an AdSense account.
  • The channel must havetwo-stepp verification enabled.

Let’s say your video went viral in a given month. You will receive an email between the 8th and 10th of the next month informing you that you have won the shorts bonus. 

In the email, there will be an option to claim the money.

  • Also, you need to link your AdSense account.
